Supplies:

  • IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko:  Memento Luxe Mixed Media Ink Tuxedo Black, Wedding Dress; Monterey Wood Pieces Stars; Creative Medium Shimmer; Delicata Pigment Ink Golden Glitz; Sheer Shimmer Spritz Frost; Fantastix Multi-Purpose Applicators; InkBlushers
  • Authentique Paper “Glistening” paper collection
  • EK Success: stocking punch, tree punch
  • Stampendous:  “Christmas Joy” stamp
  • Miscellaneous:  glass glitter, bakers twine, wire, glue gun, wire cutters, blank  picture frame

Creating the Monterey Pine Stars:

Step 1  Apply Memento Luxe Wedding Dress ink directly to one side of a Monterey Pine Star; add additional ink as needed.  Repeat for total of 5 stars.

Step 2  Using a Fantastix, apply Delicata Golden Glitz to the edges of all the stars.  Allow to dry completely.

Step 3  Apply Creative Medium Shimmer with an InkBlusher to each star for a bit of sparkle.

Step 4  Using a glue gun, adhere one end of each wire to the back of the stars.

Creating Other Embellishments:

Step 1  Punch four stockings from cardstock.  Brush the top of each stocking with glue and pour glitter over stocking top, let dry

Step 2  Punch four  trees from various cardstock.  Spray each tree with with Shimmer Spritz Frost.  Edge with Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black using an InkBlusher.

Step 3  Using various cardstock, cut tags in a few sizes (or use pre-cut tags from the “Glistening” paper collection).  Spray with Shimmer Spritz Frost.  Stamp holiday  images and sentiments with Tuxedo Black.  Add bakers to the top of each tag.

Creating the Frame:

Step 1  Cut the following from the same patterned paper:  two pieces 8″ x 1.25″ and two pieces 10″ x 1.25”.

Step 2  Edge one long side of each strip with the diamond scallop punch.

Step 3  Apply strips to the frame (scalloped edge facing inside) with adhesive and let dry completely.

Step 4  Apply a coat of Creative Medium Shimmer with an InkBlusher.  Allow to dry completely before adding two more coats.

Step 5  Use the Delicata inkpad to make the scalloped edge gold.  run along the inside of the scallop just to cover the edge with gold ‘trim’. Use a Fantastix if needed to fill in the gaps between the scalloped pattern.

Putting It All Together:

Step 1  Adhere the background (printed paper) to the back of the frame.

Step 2  Affix the stockings evenly to a piece of bakers twine.  Adhere the bakers   twine to each upper corner of the inside of the frame.

Step 3  Using a glue gun to attach each of the wires with stars to the base of the  inside of the frame, lining them up closely in the center to give a bouquet effect.

Step 4  Gently add a piece of ribbon in a bow gathering the wires together a few inches above the base.

Step 5  Adhere the trees to the background with dimensional tape.

Step 6  Arrange the tags in the bottom of the frame and adhere to background.

Step 7  Add the button detail to any empty space, along with any other embellishments.
