DIY Sheet Metal Embellishments

Did you know our Sheet Metal can be embossed and die cut? Artist in Residence Teresa shows how she created some colorful embellishments that can we used for cards, scrapbooking or just about anything your heart desires.
Step 1 – Swipe various colors of StazOn Ink over a piece of Sheet Metal.
Step 2 – Place the piece of Sheet Metal into an embossing folder and pass through die cutting machine to emboss the pattern.
Step 3 – Spritz, the embossed Sheet Metal with alcohol (methylated spirits, rubbing alcohol, window cleaner), to spread and blend the colors.
Step 4 – Cut the Sheet Metal using a metal die.
Step 5 – Color some cotton gauze by rubbing it into one of the StazOn Ink pads, and adhere it to the back of the metal shapes.
