My Heart Belongs To You
Last week Spring sprang in Switzerland. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the tulips were growing everywhere. My color inspiration for this card was inspired by the fabulous weather, which lifted up my heart and mood ♥
Time: 30 min + dry time
I stamped the wood textured heart on heavy watercolor paper with transparent Versamark ink. After adding white embossing powder, I heat embossed the hearts with my heat tool. I didn’t care about stamping the hearts in a perfect pattern; I wanted the background to look a bit messy.
For the watercolor background, I wet the watercolor paper with Sheer Shimmer Spritz, which will give the color an extra spectacular depth and sparkle.
I used the yellow color of my Radiant Neon 4 ink pad and rubbed it directly over the wet watercolor paper. You can intensify the color by rubbing the ink pad over the paper multiple times. With a damp cloth, I removed the color from the embossed hearts (this is called “embossed resist” technique).
The beautiful, hand-cut Monterey pine heart became the highlight of my card. I used the pink part of the Radiant Neon 4 ink pad to add a bit of interest.
