See How to Make a Bright Neon Spring Tag

Colorful and Industrial Tag

by Jowilna Nolte

Today I am sharing a layered tag inspired by the pretty colors of spring. Although the elements can be quite masculine, I love how these gears stand pretty against the beautiful yellow and pink background holding their own. Who says feminine can’t be industrial too. Be inspired by the use of Radiant Neon colors to create a Spring feel for your next project.

Step 1

Die-cut 3 gears/cogs from smooth white cardstock. Lightly spray the tags using irRESISTible texture spray in Dandelion. Leave to dry.

Step 2

Mist the gears with Fireworks in Cantaloupe and let dry.

Step 3

Once the gears are dry, use a date stamp and Smokey Grey VersaFine ink and overstamp onto the gears. Ink the edges with Memento Rich Cocoa.

Step 4

Mist a large manila tag using the irRESISTible texture spray in Dandelion and let dry.

Step 5

Use sponge daubers and Radiant Neon ink and ink over the entire tag alternating colors as you go along.

Step 6

Ink a texture stamp using the first two Radiant Neon pink ink colors and stamp over the entire tag to create a subtle texture and pattern.

Step 7

Adhere the cogs to the tag and a stamped sentiment using foam tape. Finish off the tag with diamante, a brad and ribbon.

  • Stamps: Prima
  • Datestamp
  • Manila tag
  • Sentiment stamp: Ali Edwards
  • Diamante
  • Brad
  • Ribbon
  • Foam tape: Tape Wormz
