The Good Dog Leash Holder
by Roni Johnson
We as crafters make gifts for everyone we know…relatives, friends, teachers and more. Let’s not forget about our 4 legged furry friends! They are just as much part of the family as our 2 legged kids. Actually, I now realize that once the 2 legged kids move out the 4 legged ones become your children…at least they have in our house and I’m sure I’m not alone. Today I want to share a little something I made for our “boys”.
Pre-paint a 10” x 12” x 1” pine board with white acrylic paint.
Stamp a paw print image using a different color of StazOn ink for each pet/leash.
Stamp your pets name over each paw print using Jet Black StazOn Ink. If you don’t get a good impression, use Memento Dual Tip Marker to darken the text.
Stamp “Good Dog” at the top of the board using StazOn ink.
Determine where you want to place the hooks. Place a piece of masking tape on the board to protect the paint. Drill the hole using the appropriate size drill bit to match the hook screw size.
Screw the hook into the pre-drilled hole. Hang on the wall and, and hang leashes from the hooks.
And, I thought I’d introduce you to my boys….
That’s Fidget our Cain Terrier who is blind, Cecil our camera shy Basset Hound, and Graber our Jack Russell/Terrier mix. In order oldest to youngest!
