One Love

Monochromatic Love

There is nothing more beautiful than all the colors in a rainbow, but you will be amazed at the beauty you can find in just one color. Here’s an idea for a lovely monochromatic card…with just a hint of sparkle to set it off.

Skill: Intermediate
Time: 30 minutes

Directions

Step 1

Stamp your image using StazOn ink.

Step 2

With the Delicata ink color in your images it as if you were using watercolor. The texture of this paper is almost slippery which creates a wash like look. Much like with watercolors, to get darker shading, just use more of the ink.

Step 3

Adhere your stamped piece to a silver cardstock, and both of those to a black card base with Tear It! Tape. Adhere the die cut sentiment in silver.

Supplies

Imagine
Other
  • Tattered Angels – Pure Mistable Papers
  • Cardstock – silver, black
  • Floral stamp of choice
  • Waterbrush, or brush and water
  • Die cut sentiment
  • Adhesive

I also created another quick card using Memento Luxe, Memento, and Radiant Neon ink as shown below just to show how gorgeous a family of colors can be.

  1. I absolutely ADORE what you’ve done here. I love that mono look but have never tried it myself… I think because I fear that I’ll just make an unholy mess. But you’ve given me inspiration to do this myself. So I’m going to take that inspiration and work with it while it’s burning a flame inside me.

Thank you for the share. Totally faultless art from the heart. Love them.
