Texture Masking Card
by Martha Lucia Gomez
Matching die and stamp sets are one of my favorite things. I really get excited about new techniques to use them with. Take a look at how I used my matching set in a different way.
Skill: Advanced
Time: 45 minutes + dry time
Directions
Step 1
Cut a large piece of masking paper with your dies.
Step 2
Arrange the die cuts over the front of your cardstock.
Step 3
Using the four colors of VersaMagic, create your own texture by inking around you card. Dab and swipe with your Dew Drops to get different effects. Let dry (do not remove the masks).
Step 4
Remove the first mask only. Stamp the first matching image using VersaFine Spanish Moss. Cover the image with Clear Embossing Powder and melt the powder with the heat tool. Remove the second masking and repeat the process. Continue the process with each die cut mask. Use Vintage Sepia on the bottom image.
Step 5
To create even more texture on the left side, place cross stitch net and ink over this using a Jumbo Dauber with Peanut Brittle and Tangelo Memento Ink.
Step 6
Adhere the die cut top half of the sentiment, and stamp the bottom half. Assemble card as desired.
