A Thanksgiving Tag
With a thankful heart we look back and reflect on the year gone by, looking back at how blessed we really are, that we were kept safe in times of danger and provided for in times of need. So now is the time to stand back and create a little something to remind us all of this each and every day. I created a tag that can hang off my cupboard door and each time I open it I can say a little prayer and be reminded of how blessed we are.
Stamp a whole bunch of autumn leaves onto smooth piece of white cardstock in VersaFine Onyx Black. Color all the leaves in the base color Cantaloupe using your Memento Dual Tip Markers.
Next add a darker shade of color to the center of your leaves using Rhubarb Stalk Memento Marker.
Next add some additional colors using Memento Markers in Love Letter, Potter’s Clay and Tangelo.
Use your Cantaloupe marker to blend over all the colors. This will help to let all the colors run effortlessly into each other and blend away any coloring lines.
Once you are happy with your colors, add a layer of irRESISTible Pico Embellisher Shimmer and ‘leave’ to dry! Once dry, fussy cut out your leaves.
Add some stenciling to a tag using Creative Medium and leave to dry. Color the tag using Tangelo and Rose Bud Memento inks. Adhere your leaves to your tag. Die-cut a thankful sentiment Ink with Rose Bud and cover with Shimmer Pico Embellisher. Adhere the sentiment to your tag and a few embellishments to finish it off.
