Shimmer Hack

Can’t Resist Adding Shimmer

by Martha Lucia Gomez

A handmade Christmas Card featuring a textured pink and purple background with the sentiment Have a Holly Jolly Christmas appearing as a resist by Martha Lucia Gomez.

If you don’t mind getting a little ink on your hands, you can make a really fun background by using your fingers as an applicator for your inks! Combining this with a resist sentiment and of course, some shimmer makes for a fun and yet sophisticated card! Let me show you how.

Step 3

Select three colors of Memento Ink and apply it on the Imagine Craft Mat. Spray the ink with Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz.

Step 4

Apply the ink with the best tool that we have, our fingers. Mixing the colors or simply applying color by color works well. Try to cover the whole surface. NOTE: Memento is a dye ink and will temporarily stain your fingers, possibly past the first washing.

Step 5

If you did not get enough shimmer, spritz the piece after inking. Cut this piece with the stitched border die.
