The New Year reminds us of all goals we would like to set for ourselves to further ourselves as a work in progress. One way to reach these goals is to break them down into chunks with a to-do list. One of the challenges I face is misplacing the list, so I choose to make a clipboard to keep my lists in one place. I solved this problem and the bright colors inspire me to get the items on the list done!
Time: 1 hour + dry time
Use a large binder clip to hold open clip at the top of the clipboard to allow painting underneath. Paint the front of the clipboard with white gesso and a foam brush. Set aside to dry. Paint the rear of the clipboard and edges with white gesso and a foam brush. Set aside to dry.
Place about a tablespoon of Creative Medium on the Craft Mat with a palette knife and add Memento Luxe ink to achieve a bright yellow color mixture. Mix thoroughly with a palette knife.
Paint Creative Medium mixture on rear of clipboard with a foam brush. Set aside to dry. Repeat with the front of the clipboard and edges and set aside to dry.
Mark off outer frame with painter’s tape to center stamping on the clipboard. Stamp “To Do List” on clipboard with StazOn in Blazing Red. HINT: Re-ink pad with re-inker to achieve optimum results. A juicy ink pad works best with acrylic stamps.
Stamp to do sentiments around outside of clipboard with various colors of StazOn – Blazing Red, Azure, Forest Green, and Orange Zest are used here.
Use the clipboard with a memo pad of choice to use for the to-do list!
