Mini or Marbled? We Heart Both!

In today’s blog, Tenia Nelson hand lettered a mini heart and decorated it with Fireworks! While Martha Lucia Gomez experiments with using Fireworks! as the ink in a marbled effect with shaving cream. These projects both use Fireworks! in a subtle way but still with that extra something to their projects.

Tenia Nelson made this super fun tiny Valentine using Angel Pink Memento Marker onto Watercolor paper. She cut using a simple heart die then hand lettered the “Love You” sentiment onto heart using Tuxedo Black Memento Marker. She finished this quick project with a splatter effect using Angel Pink Fireworks! to add some texture and shimmer.

Martha Lucia Gomez loves experimenting with new techniques. In this project, she decided to try the marbled look using shaving cream and ink to create a marbled effect on paper. In this case, the ink is Fireworks! Craft Spray which is water-based and produces a shimmer effect. Martha reports:

“This is really easy to do yourself. Simply take a sizable amount of shaving cream and add some drops or sprays of Fireworks. In my project, I used three different colors of Fireworks: Lilac Posies, Dandelion, and Cantaloupe. Lightly mix the colors with a stick. Pass your paper over the foam and let the mix touch the paper. Remove the excess foam with a clean scrap of paper. Let dry very well before continuing to work on the project. Stamp with any type of ink over the marbled paper.”
