Blue Vertigo Gracias Handmade Card by Martha Lucia Gomez
In today’s project, I colored Vertigo surfaces to create a unique textured look. You don’t need a lot of materials to make this, only StazOn inkpad, GlazOn and the Vertigo sheet. I started with a piece of Vertigo. These sheets come in different designs that reflects and refracts light creating optical illusions such as swirls, snakeskin, etc. For my project, I used the Taffeta design which looks like tumbling water. Next, I applied the Blue Hawaii StazOn using an Ink Blusher sponge directly to the Vertigo sheet.
Since StazOn will ink plastic it is a perfect choice for this project. One funny detail about StazOn is that the solvent ink will dissolve the ink on the plastic surface if you want to do several applications. In order to prevent this, I applied a thin layer of GlazOn to fix the color and let it dry. I put the colored piece of Vertigo inside of a textured design embossing folder and pass it through the Big Shot machine. Pass the inkpad of Stone Grey StazOn over the embossed texture to create a contrast. Next, I pasted the Vertigo layer over a piece of cardstock and enhance some details of the design using Wedding Dress irRESISTible Pico Embellisher. Let the irRESISTible dry before finalizing your card. Paste the decorated layer over a white card base with double-sided Tear it Tape and add a diecut sentiment using On Point Glue.
In the end, you will have a card that reflects and refracts shade of blue ink that will dazzle anyone who receives it!

Trust in Him Journal by Tenia Nelson
Journaling is a great way to express your innermost needs and emotions. With that, I thought it would be a little boost to craft my own journal that I made using ink blending, embossing, and splatter techniques. I wanted to create an eye-popping look that would inspire me to write and reflect. I started with adding Bahama Blue Memento ink onto the cover page using an ink dauber. Next, I stamped and heat embossed feathers and tropical flowers with Gold Embossing Powder. I then took Bahama Blue Fireworks Shimmer Spray and added a splatter-effect. But I didn’t want just all one color so I created some contrast with a wood circle panel with VersaFine Onyx Black and embossed with a Clear Embossing Powder to lock it in place. To complete the design with an extra little magic, I stamped “IN” with VersaFine Majestic Blue onto a piece of light blue cardstock, embossed and punched out using a 3/4″ circle punch. Adhere “IN” onto the wood panel and adhere wood panel onto the cover page.
So fun and beautiful to make! I feel this is a great to for yourself or would make a happy gift for a friend.
