This paper sculpture starts with a few empty spools of ribbon and thread and a vintage swizzle stick from my craft stash, not that you’d know it from the finished piece! While I had a weeping willow or rainforest in mind, this same technique could work just as well to create a carousel. Alternately, if the hanging strips are left longer when tucked in they will bow out like a hot air balloon. A small turntable underneath would make this a great centerpiece for a party.
