Who doesn’t love chocolate? It is often the perfect gift! There are so many different types of chocolate: white, milk, bittersweet…the list goes on and on. There’s a little something for everyone and every taste. Next time you give someone the gift of chocolate think about making a tag to go with it. If the chocolate is super tasty then it is sure that the tag will last longer than the gift.
Time: 1 hour
Select or diecut a tag. You can purchase blank tags at most craft stores or even office supply stores. This tag was diecut from Strathmore Mixed Media paper and a Sizzix tag die. Stamp images with Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa, emboss with clear powder and melt with a heat tool. Use a Dauber to color in the background with Delicata Champagne.
Before the ink dries, place a stencil on top and remove some of the background ink with a baby wipe. Using a small Dauber ink the edges with Delicata Dark Brown Shimmer, then follow with a different Dauber tool and add Delicata Golden Glitz ink.
Apply Post-It notes to serve as a mask covering the stamped images, apply white gesso with a texture type stencil randomly.
Add additional interest with a script stamp using Celestial Copper ink. Take a bottle cap and use as a stamp with Dark Brown Shimmer ink. Color at random with Memento Markers. Add a baker’s twine bow, some staples, a tiny metal heart and a quick spray of Gold Shimmer Spritz.
