Welcome to a week of fantastic collaboration between IMAGINE Crafts and Stampendous! We have to admit that our two companies were made for each other and we’re proud to have shared a long relationship of working together.  After all, what are stamps with out ink?  The projects created by our artists this week feature IMAGINE Crafts Radiant Neon™ inks paired perfectly with coordinating colors of Fran•táge Color Fragments from Stampendous, along with some of their newest stamp designs and Stack Art kits.

A Gift Of Coffee

Supplies:

  • Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko: StazOn Spiced Chai; Memento: Desert Sand, Rich Cocoa, Rhubarb Stalk; GooseBumps Clear Texture Spray; Fantastix; Jumbo Daubers; Craft Mat
  • Impression Obsession: Coffee Mug B4307, Rose Typographie F9285.
  • Sizzix: Susan’s Garden Tool Kit.
  • Miscellaneous: Scor-Tape, lace, sheer ribbon, Pop Dots, coffee beans, tin, pearls

Directions:

1. Ink an old tin with StazOn Spiced Chai.

2. Create a label by stamping Rose Typographie F9285 with StazOn Spiced Chai.

3. Using a Jumbo Dauber, ink label with Memento Desert Sand and Rich Cocoa.

4. Sponge two pieces of lace with Memento Desert Sand and Rich Cocoa and attach to the back of the label with Scor-Tape.

5. Adhere label to tin with Scor-tape.

6. Tie ribbon around the bottom of the label and add a bow.

7. Stamp Coffee Mug B4307  twice with Spiced Chai.

8. Color both coffee mugs with Memento Rhubarb Stalk with a Fantastix. Since it will be cut out, don’t be afraid to go out of the lines.

9. Cut out both mugs, leaving the handle off of one.

10. Place the mug without the handle face down on a foam mat.  Use the large ball end of the stylus from Susan’s Garden Tool kit and go over it in small circular motions to give it dimension.

11. Attach the mug without the handle to the second mug with a Pop Dot.  Spray it with Goosebumps Clear Texture Spray.

12. Using a Fantastix, add a little color to the label with Memento Rich Cocoa and Rhubarb Stalk.

13. Embellish with chocolate colored pearls and a coffee bean to the center of the bow.

Stained Glass Orchids

  • Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko: Memento Markers: Lulu Lavender, Grape Jelly, Cantaloupe, Potter’s Clay; Versamark; Jumbo Dauber; Black Embossing Powder; irRESISTible Pico Embellisher: Gold, Silver and Shimmer; VersaFine Onyx Black
  • Impression Obsession: Stained Glass Orchid F13214, Brick House DIE119-Z
  • Sizzix: Trellis Embossing Floder
  • Miscellaneous: satin ribbon, lace, Pop Dots

1. Stamp Stained Glass Orchid with Versafine Onyx Black on cardstock vellum and heat emboss with Black Embossing Powder.

2. Color the orchids with LuLu Lavender, Grape Jelly, Cantaloupe, and Potters Clay Memento Markers. Sponge the edges of a light purple mat and adhere orchid image.

3. Apply irRESISTible Pico Shimmer over the orchids one petal at a time, using the embossed edges as a berm.

4. Fill in the background with Pico Gold and Silver. Since this is on Card stock Vellum, as it dries the vellum will puff up randomly giving lots of dimension. Set aside.

5. Emboss a 4” x 5 ¼” panel with a Sizzix Trellis Embossing folder.

6. Die cut 4 black gable decorations from the Brick House die and adhere to the corners of the embossed panel.

7. Adhere a piece of lace vertically onto card.

8. With dimensional tape, add completed floral image onto the card.

9. Embellish with a satin ribbon bow and add pearls to the corners.

My Favorite Work of Art

  • Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko: Kaleidacolor Tomato Vine, Versafine Onyx Black;  Sponge Daubers; Clear Embossing Powder; Goosebumps Shimmer Spray
  • Impression Obsession: Heart Brush D9170, Heart Full of Art Small B9172, You’re My Favorite D9210
  • Miscellaneous: black hemp twine, Pop Dots, cardstock (white, black and olive)

1.  Stamp Heart Brush with Versafine Onyx Black, cut out and set aside.

2. Using the Kaleidacolor Tomato Vine inkpad, stamp the heart image by lining up the center of the heart where two colors meet on the Kaleidacolor pad.  Stamp four different colored hearts, four times each. Cut them out and sponge the edges.

3. Using the individual colors in the Tomato Vine inkpad, cut then color a strip of cardstock red, orange and yellow.

4.  Adhere hearts to these color strips.

5.  Mount the colored strips onto white cardstock and then spray with Goosebumps Shimmer.

6.  Layer this onto olive and black matting layers.

7.  Wrap black hemp twine 3/4s the way up.

8. Stamp sentiment  onto an oval with Versafine Onyx Black and heat emboss with Clear Embossing Powder.

9. Blend a few colors from the Tomato Vine inkpad over the word “ART”.  Edge oval with red using a Sponge Dauber.

10.  Use Pop Dots to adhere the paintbrush and sentiment over the background.

Spring Greetings and Gift Packaging

Spring is here and to get you in the mood our Artists In Residence are here to share with you today a couple of projects.  Sylvia has created a fun shadow boxed card complete with a Vertigo butterfly and Ellen has taken gift packaging to a new level with a decorated gift box with a die cut paper Clematis on top.

You Mean Everything to Me

Directions:

1. Create top folded square card from white cardstock.

2. Die cut square window into front of card

3. Cut square of patterned paper slightly smaller than window, distress edges with Memento Angel Pink and an InkBlusher tool.

4. Create faux stitching border around square paper and adhere to inside of the card using foam pads.

5. Die cut banner from white cardstock and stamp “mean everything to me” with Delicata Silvery Shimmer onto right side of the banner.

6. Ink “You” stamp with Memento Rose Bud and stamp with only very light pressure once onto scrap piece of paper, then re-ink with Memento Angel Pink and stamp onto left side of the banner.

7. Affix banner to card front.

8. Die cut butterfly from Vertigo Tilted.

9. Thread length of pearlescent twine through pink flower button, tying the ends into a bow.

10. Affix button to the butterfly and adhere butterfly to the card front using mini glue dots.

Clematis Gift Box

Directions:

1.  Using an InkBlusher, ink unfinished wooden box base and lid with Stazon Spiced Chai.   For more even inking, it is best to ink in the direction of the wood grain.  Set aside.

2.  Die cut Clematis and shape it using Susan’s Garden Tool Kit.

3.  Ink the petals with Memento Rose Bud and the leaves with Memento Bamboo Leaves.

4.  Dip the flower centers in Yellow Pollen, assemble the flower and set aside.

5.  Using an InkBlusher, apply a thin coat of Creative Medium to the back of a paper doily and adhere to the lid of the box.

6.  Adhere 2 ZVA Creations Pearl Flourishes on the doily.

7.  Die cut a sentiment tag in white and a base tag in brown using the Mini Rectangles die.

8.  Stamp sentiment with Stazon Spiced Chai and adhere it to the base tag with pop dots.

9.  Adhere the Clematis to the center of the doily.

10. Attach the tag with ribbon around the base of the flower and add some pretty gem stones.

  • My Mind’s Eye:  enamel dots
  • Craftwell:  ebosser
  • Miscellaneous: white & black card stock, adhesive, clear foam adhesive

Directions:

1.  Make card base from white card stock measuring 5.5 x 4.25 inches.

2.  Die cut balloons from sheets of Vertigo, ink with Radiant Neons, set aside to dry.

3. Spritz black card stock with Shimmer Goosebumps. Ink over the GooseBumps with Moonlight White and then wipe with a dry paper towel for a resist effect. Adhere this panel to a piece of black cardstock so the whole panel is just a bit smaller than white card base.

4.  Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark and heat emboss with white embossing powder.

5.  Adhere balloons as shown. Adhere the top balloon with clear foam adhesive for dimension.

6.  Tie strands of cord into knot. Adhere “strings” beneath balloons.  Adhere knot to one side of card front.

7.  Add enamel dots as desired.

HAPPY Father’s Day

  • Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko: irRESISTable Paris Dusk; Monterey Pine Heart; Stazon Claret; Memento Summer Sky, Paris Dusk; Goosebumps Shimmer; InkBlushers; Sponge Daubers; Craft Mat
  • The Crafters Workshop: stencils
  • Impression Obsession: Great Dad C9246
  • Miscellaneous:  Silver Pearls, Pop Dots, cardstock

Directions:

1.  Place stencil over a 4-7/8” x 3-7/8” piece of white card stock.  Spray with irRESISTible Paris Dusk; allow to dry.

2.  Starting from the outer edges and working towards the center, sponge Memento Summer Sky onto the card leaving some white in the center.

3.  Repeat with Memento Paris Dusk, being sure to not cover all of the Summer Sky.

4.  With an InkBlusher, color the Monterey Pine Heart with Stazon Claret.

5.  Spray the back of the heart with Goosebumps Shimmer to use as an adhesive – place into the center of the stenciled image.

6.  Spray the entire surface with GooseBumps Shimmer and allow to dry completely.

7.  Stamp  “Great Dad”  with Memento Paris Dusk on a 1-1/2″ x 3-7/8″ white card stock and sponge the edges with Memento Summer Sky and adhere to stenciled background.

8.  Cut a layering piece of 4-1/8″ x 5-1/4″ and adhere stenciled background on top.

9.  Attach to card base with Pop Dots.

10.  Embellish with silver pearls.
