Create Beautiful Winter Light

Winter Wonderland Candle Holder

by Terre Fry

Handmade wintery candle holder made out of a recycled bottle and Radiant Neon Amplify! in white by Terre Fry.

Living in Colorado means cold winter nights with snow falling on the ground making everything white and frosty. But I know not everyone is so fortunate to live in a winter wonderland, so I thought I would take a recycled glass bottle and create my own, indoors of course!

Fall is a time when all the trees change color, the air begins to get chilly and families spend many hours outside enjoying the richness of the season. I too have been enjoying all the fall festivals my new home in Colorado. But the best part is when I get to spend time with my husband and little girl creating new memories at home.

Never Forget

Ground Zero

by Terre Fry

Two-page scrapbook layout by Terre Fry made after her visit to Ground Zero during the building of the new One World Trade Center and the 9-11 Memorial.

This will be a day in history that no American will ever forget. I visited New York on a work assignment, and my goal was to visit Ground Zero to say a prayer and pay my respect for those who lost their lives on that horrible day. The memorial and the rebuild were in process and I remember standing there chilled to the bone and weeping for the loss, for the families and for our Country. God Bless Our Country! Hard to believe it was 15 years ago. It would be wonderful to go back and see the completed One World Trade Center and Memorial.

Directions

2016_sep_tf_911_step1

Step 1

Using Creative Medium Metallic Silver and Brick Wall stencil, apply creative medium in different areas around two pages. Allow time for this to dry completely.

2016_sep_tf_911_step2

Step 2

Using Delicata Shimmery Silver pigment ink, distress both layouts to reflect an industrial feel by simply rubbing the ink pad directly across the layout.

2016_sep_tf_911_step4

Step 3

Adhere photos and embellishments. You may want to use some foam squares to pop up some of the elements.
