Directions:

Uncommon Background beginnings

1. Begin by stenciling the background using favorite ink colors. Colors used here include StazOn Claret, Radiant Neon Electric Blue and Memento Luxe Nautical Blue. Later, Radiant Neon Electric Orange is added for additional depth.

Uncommon Inked Letters

2. Ink die cut letters using favorite colors. Tangelo Memento was used, then double inked with Teal Blue StazOn using a Sponge Dauber.

Uncommon Seal Letters with Goosebumps

3. Seal letters with Goosebumps Shimmer.

4. Add additional color with StazOn Midi Claret.

Uncommon Spritz upside down with IrRESISTibles and Shimmer Spritz

5. Spritz background with irRESISTible Texture Spray in Lady Bug and Bahama Blue. Repeat spritzing with background turned upside down to get the best coverage.

Uncommon Stamp Accents

6. Accent background with assorted stamps. The stars were stamped with StazOn Claret, the dots with StazOnTeal Blue, and the tickets with StazOn Ganache.

UNCOMMON MON

7. Adhere letters to background and accent with white paint.

      • Yes, it looks like it was and it’s also just what I’ve been needing…I just went over your steps with a fine tooth comb and took notes. I hope you don’t mind if I use this spectacular piece as my inspiration for an upcoming project on May 13th. I will credit you as the original artist who inspired me, as you do so often 🙂 It will be different of course, but I’m inspired by the color scheme and mix of interesting patterns and texture. I’m doing something sort of Americana/patriotic. Thanks so much!
