I love the beautiful white on white effect you can achieve using different shades of whites. With all the white products available in the Imagine family you can create beautiful texture and patterns in a variety of shades. For this project I chose to work on an old book and create a journal page with a soft, delicate and romantic look and feel.

Using some fun white texture products along with stencils is a great place to start.

I used a Memento Luxe inker in Wedding Dress to build a whiter background on parts of the book. To give it a cloudy or misty look I spread the ink with my fingers in the selected areas.

I contrasted the cloudy look I got with the Memento Luxe with some StazOn Studio Glaze in Cotton White. The glaze creates a beautiful shiny effect on the old book paper.

Along with some larger embellishments, I included a glossy white tag. I stamped a flower image using Delicata in White Shimmer. Since pigment inks take a little longer to dry on glossy coats, I used a heat gun to dry the ink.

My final piece was a die cut of the sentiment “Live Laugh Love” which I coated with VersaMark Dazzle Champagne and heat embossed with Sparkle Embossing Powder.

Sometimes limiting yourself with a particular theme, in this case color, can give you great creativity! If you ever find yourself staring at a blank page and not knowing what to put on it, try limiting yourself to a particular color or theme.
