Explore a Variety of Clean and Simple Planner Techniques

As a tribute to the New Year and homage to the more organized faction of the crafting community, we are celebrating Planners! What better way to express your creativity and to organize your daily, monthly or even yearly goals. With a custom design in planning goals, one has the opportunity to dream and shape the page in a way that makes sense to the individual. Today we share two distinct planner page themes by Tenia Nelson and Alison Heikkila.

Imagine Artist Tenia Nelson creates this lovely planner page with Memento Ink, VersaFine Ink and Sheer Shimmer Spritz Spray to show her plans to visit Knott's Berry Farm.

Tenia chose to go with a weekly style Planner page that lists the days of the week on the outer edges of the page. Here are Tenia’s directions to customize the page!

Alison chose to use a monthly view with a floral edging. Alison likes to print out a calendar that has room to write about the design team projects and important dates/events to remember:

Print out a calendar page. There are so many printable calendars available online. Just do a quick Google or Pinterest search.

Use VersaMagic inks to mimic the soft, painterly flowers and planner stamp set to embellish the calendar. Start by stamping images on important event days. Color in the stamped images using the VersaMagic inks and Fantastix. Just lightly rubbing the Fantastix against the ink pad will give you plenty of ink to work with. Color the images with contrasting colors to help them stand out nicely.

One of the coolest characteristics of planners is the flexibility in the calendar layout mixed with unique images to fully represent creativity. Planner pages are especially fun when customized to give them their own unique individual touch. We hope these two styles have offered up inspiration to start!
