See How to Stamp on Fabric with VersaColor Ink

Hi there, Martha Lucia here! Today, I have a fun project to easy stamping on fabric. I used a muslin bag with our VersaColor inks and clear stamps.

Skill: Intermediate
Time: 20 minutes

Directions

Step 1

I secured my muslin bag over my stamping tool and put inside of the bag a piece of hard card stock to keep the fabric straight. I selected the Bloom Layers stamp set to stamp them over the muslin bag using VersaColor in Camellia color. I just inked well the stamp and stamped just like I made with the stamping on paper.

Step 2

To fix the ink on the muslin bag, I only ironed the bag. Then using other pieces of the stamp set I decorated my original stamped flowers. To make the details of the flowers I used VersaColor in Raspberry, Topaz and Fresh Green. After that, I just ironed the bag again.

Step 3

To complement my gift idea, I just stamped some of the flowers included on the same Bloom Layers stamp set onto very vanilla cardstock but his time using Memento Inks. The colors that I used were Lady Bug, Rhubarb Stalk, Morocco and Tuxedo Black.

Thank you for stopping by! Don’t feel afraid of use fabric in your creations. It is the same thing as when you stamp on paper, just use the correct ink and enjoy your creation! Note: VersaColor is not a fabric ink and will wash out of fabric. Switch to Memento Luxe or VersaCraft for permanent projects.
