We are so excited to announce our Artists in Residence for 2017. We had such an amazing group of artists this year, plus another outstanding group of applications! We look forward to sharing the projects of this fabulous group in the months to come!
Nadine Carlier
You have hopefully already come to know Nadine as a great artist whose videos show great techniques in a clear and concise manner. She describes her style as eclectic with a mixed media twist. She loves getting messy, trying new techniques, and inspiring others.
Neva Cole
Another artists we have come to know and love over the past year, Neva’s projects tend towards elegant and contemporary with a touch steampunk and CAS when the occasion arises. A life long crafter who lives on a mini farm, she makes sure to find time to retreat to her craft cave and have fun!
Martha Lucia Gomez
Hopefully you have taken note of Martha Lucia’s beautiful CAS projects this year. She has a wonderful passion for papercrafts, and also finds time to run her own company and be a mom. For any Spanish language fans, her personal blog is a must follow.
Alison Heikkila
Alison’s fun and varied style makes her a natural fit for Imagine, which is why she’s back for another year. Her crafting style can vary dramatically. While she can gravitate towards creating things that are creepy and grungy, she can also create things that are over the top sweet too. She has a bachelor’s degree in art and loves to push the envelope in all her crafts.
Roni Johnson
Roni is a blogger and author whose favorite medium is ink! (No wonder we keep her around!) She loves teaching others the joys of ink, and finds time to work on her small farm between creating mixed media, collage & altered arts as well as searching for great vintage finds.
Jessica Litman
Jessica is The Organized Mama. A midwest girl who grew up crafting with her mother and grandmother, she loves encouraging creativity, whether it be painting, scrapbooking, coloring, or knitting. With an emphasis on getting organized, and a background in teaching, her projects are sure to delight.
Tenia Nelson
Tenia became hooked with stamping after perusing her first Paper Craft Magazine almost 15 years ago. She loves all types of styles but her favorite is closest to CAS, but with her own powerful style mixed in. Besides being a wife and mother and published artist, she is an active jazz pianist and music teacher to boot!
Jowilna Nolte
Jowilna knows creating can be a wonderful journey and therapy- making sense of things where life cannot. A much loved author and teacher around South Africa, she has definitely turned this into her life’s philosophy. Scrapbooking has become a passion along side her first love of card making.
Kyriakos Pachadiroglou
Living close to the sea in Greece, Kyriakos loves to walk the seafront to clear his mind and be inspired. Arriving to crafting via a painting hobby, he loves to expirement with different meterials and techniques with his projects. He likes to design projects that go beyond beautiful—and creates things that will become something special and even useful to someone.
Trista Ree
Trista is a mixed-media artist hailing from Houston, Texas. We hope you come to love her videos where she lets her personality, mistakes, and most of all wonderful art shine through.
Mischelle Smith
Mischelle formerly owned her own stamp company and is a die-hard stamper. She now spreads her wings into the worlds of of mixed media, journaling, scrapbooking and everything she considers ‘Artsy Fabulous’. We hope you enjoy her projects which she sees as “art therapy”.
Elina Stromberg
Elina enjoys all kinds of crafts including sewing, knitting and crocheting, but paper has always been her favorite material. She loves to share her ideas with others and we hope you enjoy her projects where she puts an emphasis on color choice. Hearing that she has inspired others to create is the best reward Elina can receive.
Jennifer Vanderbeek
Jennifer believes in the power of good laugh, and knows that daily creativity is essential to our overall health and well-being. An illustrator with a culinary arts degree, she really likes the term “mixed media” because it can encompass anything she decides to work with. We have come to love the surprising projects Jennifer creates, and hope you will continue to enjoy them too.
Renee Zarate
Renee’s journey into the paper arts started over twenty years ago with scrapbooking. She quickly realized she could use those supplies to make many other project types. We hope you enjoy her mixed media creations she shares with you here.
We look forward to a great year with this group and can’t wait to see all the wonderful projects they share with us and you!
