As crafters, we have so many amazing products available in our arsenal that can be used for crafts, scrapbooking, card making and art journaling. Included in that long list is home decor and I simply love using my ink mediums to create interesting and unique effects on home decor products.

Directions

Step 1

Paint a metal jar lid using mint green chalk-based paint. Paint two layers and let dry.
TIP: Change direction and let the paintbrush create texture for a gorgeous look.

Step 2

Use a sponge dauber and Brilliance ink pad and apply ink over the painted lid.

Step 3

Add Brilliance inker onto the inked lid and use the sponge dauber or your finger to spread the ink over the lid. Leave to dry.

Step 4

Drill a small hole in the center of the lid and add a decorative handle. Use the jar for storage in your craft room or as a beautiful shimmering gift jar filled with decadent chocolates. The Brilliance ink leaves a beautiful shimmer on the painted lid. TIP: Because Brilliance ink is suitable for glossy surfaces it dries perfectly on the painted metal lid without heat setting.
