It may be the thought that counts, but a pretty presentation certainly doesn’t hurt. This candy gift bag is inspired by the color of the month wintergreen mint as well as the flavor it brings to mind. Add a touch of chocolate and how could you go wrong?
Skill: Beginner
Time: 20 minutes + drying time
Directions
Step 1
Combine White, Ultramarine, and Spring Green All-Purpose inks onto a palette until the desired shade is reached.
Step 2
Write “mint” on white cardstock with a VersaMarker and emboss with white embossing powder.
Step 3
Dilute mixed ink with Ink Potion No. 9 and brush the ink across the embossed writing. The embossed areas will act as a resist.
Step 4
Add sentiment and outline embossed text with Bamboo Leaves Memento Marker.
Step 5
Trim and mat the decorated panel with chocolate cardstock.
Step 6
Attach matted panel to the fold-over card on the candy bag. Secure the filled treat bag inside the card with several strips of Tear It! Tape.
This simple and easy gift of chocolate mints and a hand lettered note on the top is a quick and easy way to brighten someone’s day! Happy crafting!
