Gift Card Holder with Delicata Ink by Martha Lucia Gomez

Delicata Ink is one of the most versatile products that you can find to create projects with during the holiday season, and honestly—for all seasons, because now we have a great collection of colors that we can use in our crafts. Today, I am sharing with you how to watercolor with Delicata. It is easy & quick but you will obtain the fantastic shimmer that only this ink can offer. Every year it becomes more common to give gift cards as presents. But if you are like me, I always want to make it very special and unforgettable.

I started working on this gift card holder by stamping over watercolor paper the cup image using Memento Desert Sand, this is a light color that can be easily covered with the Delicata Celestial Copper and a waterbrush. With Delicata Ruby Red, I stamped and colored some details to decorate the cup. The special detail on the cup is the whipped cream. I made this using White Amplify!

I fussy cut all the pieces and created the layers of the gift card holder. Even though I designed the gift card to be on the outside, I still used a card base so I could have space inside of the card to add my personal message. I used a punch to create the window to put the gift card inside. Using Delicata Dark Brown Shimmer I stamped the sentiment over the top layer and then I assembled all the layers over the card base with Tear It Tape and pasted the watercolor cup using double sided foam tape.

Look at the amazing shading you can get with using a waterbrush and the Delicata inks? Easy and fun to make don’t you think? Thank you for stopping by the Imagine blog and if you enjoyed this tutorial then please comment below or share on social media!
