Winters can be hard on the best of us. If you have friends or loved ones that live further North that may be feeling blue from short and cold days, sending them a bright and cheerful card to remind them spring is just around the corner could really make their day! Arjita Sepaha Singh will show you a beautiful card that employs a no-line watercolor technique, while Martha Lucia Gomez works with layered stamps for a really fun technique that has very lovely results!

Learn No-line Watercoloring with Memento Inkers by Arjita Sepaha Singh. I love water coloring and for this card I used Memento inkers as my coloring medium. If you don't have inkers, you can always stamp some of the ink off an inkpad onto your palette. I always use a good quality watercolor paper which allows the pigments to flow with ease which is key for a good watercolor painting. I stamped the rose and leaves in light colored inks to achieve the no-line look.

Thinking of You Floral Theme Card by Martha Lucia Gomez

Hello everyone! Layering stamps are trending and with Kaleidacolor inkpads you don’t need to worry about having many inkpads to make your layers stunning. You can create different tones in each layer with just one Kaleidacolor ink palette! The process is quite simple, and the results are unique and beautiful.


Step 1

Take the first layer of your stamp set and ink it directly with the ink pad using the light colors of the inkpad. Then take the second layer of the stamp and ink it moving the Kaleidacolor inkpad for the medium colors. Repeat the same process with the each layer, just moving to darker colors with each layer.


Step 2

Repeat Step 1 with Fresh Greens and the leaf layers. Fussy cut all images.


Step 3

Arrange the flowers with double sided foam tape and glue down the leaves with On Point Glue over a white embossed piece. Paste the decorated layer on an Olive card base using Tear it! Tape. As a final touch and to create a contrast of colors I stamped a black sentiment “Thinking of You” over a little piece of crumb cake or kraft cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black.
