Big Bright Things Come in Small Packages

gift tags made from dcwv paper. wish big. flower stamps from hero arts.

Wish Big Envelope Packages by Martha Lucia Gomez

I love to create packages and could not resist this opportunity to use the Beach House collection from the DCWV papers! These are envelopes to store gift cards or money, perfect for the season, don’t you think? To create these gift tags you need a 6″x 6″ piece of decorated paper. I started by scoring 1-5/8″ from the sides, 1/2″ from the bottom and 1″ from the top and cut away the four corners creating a small wedge from the sides of the flags to make it easier to assemble. I then pasted the edge of one side flag and the bottom flag using Tear It Tape. Place your gift card or money inside and secure the envelope package with a few loops of bakers twine.

To finish the overall design, decorate the front of the envelope package with flower stamp set of your choice and color using Fireworks! I attached the flowers using dimensional stickers and On Point Glue and stamped the Wish Big sentiment with Memento Paris Dusk. A gift wrapped in a handmade package will certainly show your loved one you really care!

Country Floral Gift Card Tag by Roni Johnson

With Spring popping up everywhere I thought it would be fun to make a dainty little floral gift card tag holder and card all in one. The card features a bouquet of flowers pieced on one of the front flaps which opens to reveal a silvery lace pocket which holds an oversized tag. Continue opening to see nestled inside you find a gift card! This crafty card and tag combination creates a nice surprise gift effect for the person receiving the present. The possibilities of themes and ideas for this duo set are endless, so let your imagination fly!
