By Kyriakos Pachadiroglou

Skill: Intermediate

Time: 1 hour

Blend inks to create backgrounds for a spring-themed card and roll the paper with the help of Ink Potion No9 and secure it with some Tear It! Tape. Stamp with VersaFine CLAIR Nocturne and add color with MEMENTO markers.

Directions:

Step 1:

Cut a 4×6 in piece of card. Color about half part of the card stock piece with MEMENTO LUXE Pistachio and Pear Tart inks using Sponge Daubers.

Step 2:

Stamp the colored part with the MEMENTO Bamboo Leaves and the crackle stamp.

Step 3:

Spray it with the Ink Potion No9, cut some part of the blank part of the card stock, and roll it. Use a heat tool to speed up the drying process and secure it with Tear It! Tape.

Step 4:

Use a Sponge Dauber to color with the MEMENTO Bamboo Leaves on the white rolled side.

Step 5:

Spray Ink Potion No 9 and then Fireworks! Summer Sky on another 5×4 in a piece of the card stock. Let it dry. Use a sponge dauber to lightly distress it with MEMENTO Bahama Blue.

Step 6:

Place Tear It! Tape on both pieces of the card stock and set first the blue one and then the green one.

Step 7:

Stamp with the VersaFine CLAIR – Nocturne and cut around the butterflies. Color with the MEMENTO markers.

Step 8:

Glue flower stamens folded in half on the top side of the rolled part.

Step 9:

Bend the wings of the butterflies and them. Add the sticker words.

Make your Cards Shine with Rinea Foil and Sheer Shimmer

by Jowilna Nolte

Beautiful and shiny handmade card featuring a flying heart and earthy and metallic colors.

Create amazing shiny elements for your scrapbook layout or cards using the range of beautiful Rinea foils. Combining these foils with inked backgrounds and coordinating focal elements you can create a feast of color and shine. I colored the beautiful heart image with Memento Dual Markers and added lots of shine with Imagine’s Sheer Shimmer spray.

Skill: Advanced
Time: 1 hour

Directions

Step 1

Stamp heart image onto white cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black.

Step 2

Use Memento markers in shades of yellow and gold to color in the heart.

Step 3

Once you are done coloring in, its time to add some shine. Fill an empty waterbrush with some Shimmer spray, then paint over the entire heart to add a nice thin shiny layer.

Step 4

Back Rinea foil with some double sided tape opposite side of the Rinea Foil. Leave the adhesive backing in place and emboss it with an embossing folder to add texture and pattern.

Step 5

Adhere the Rinea foil to the bottom of some patterned paper. (I actually made this patterned paper. Want to know how? Check it out here.) Add sewing detail where the two pieces meet.

Step 6

Add ink and paint splatters across the heart for a nice finishing touch. Then adhere the heart, stamped sentiment and some bling elements to finish off your card.

Create a Woodgrain Theme Friendship Card with Rinea Foil

by Martha Lucia Gomez

Create a Woodgrain Theme Friendship Card with Rinea Foil

Hi there, Martha Lucia here! Today, I have a fun card making project to share with you. I used the stamp piecing with foiled paper as a technique to create this card. To make this stamp piecing card, I used Rinea Foiled paper in pink, green and gold colors with StazOn Pigment Ink Piano Black to create a dynamic look. A single stamp with flowers coming out of an envelope suddenly takes on a new life.

Skill: Beginner
Time: 30 minutes

Directions

Step 1

Prepare your card by cutting the base of your card to 4-1/4″x11″ with a score in 5-1/2″. Cut the second layer using Mocha/Gold Glossy Rinea Foiled Paper. I cut this layer using the Stitched Woodgrain Cover Up Die from Lil’Inker Designs. Stamp the image of the stamp set Gift Enclosures from Catherine Scanlon Stamps using one single color of Rinea foiled paper and StazOn Pigment Piano Black Ink.

Step 2

Stamp the same image using different colors and textures of Rinea Foiled paper. I used gold/gold glossy for the envelope, blush starstruck for the flowers and emerald starstruck for the leaves. With scissors cut the different parts of the stamped image and paste them over the image stamped using On Point Glue and Double-sided Foam Tape.

Step 3

Resize and paste the Mocha Woodgrain layer over the card base.

Step 4

Create the sentiment for your card using a layered die set. I used the word “friend” that I cut from Gold/Gold Glossy Rinea Foiled Paper for the word mat and Fuchsia/Gold Glossy for the detailed word. Paste the two parts of the die with On Point Glue and then paste it over the decorated card base.

Step 5

Paste the gift envelope stamp over your decorated card using Double-sided Foam Tape.

Learn To Make This “Happiness Is..” Cats Handmade Card

by Iris Rodriguez

Learn To Make This "Happiness Is.." Cats Handmade Card

This card was inspired by my cat. An awesome, adorable orange tabby named O’Malley. If you first looked at the picture of this card and noticed the sentiment “happiness is…” and your answer was orange tabbies; that is the right answer, of course, lol! I made this card in a monochromatic style by inking spots of yellow and orange Memento inks, then added a layer of Orange Zest StazOn Studio Glaze. The glaze covers the paper with a nice vibrant, translucent color. I find that it unifies the background nicely. Perfect for my unified looking orange cats card.

Skill: Intermediate
Time: 30 minutes

Directions

Step 1

Ink random spots of the Dandelion then the Cantaloupe Memento inks with the Inkblusher.

Step 2

Ink random spots of Tangelo then Lady Bug Memento inks with the Inkblusher.

Step 3

Squeeze a line of the Orange Zest StazOn Studio Glaze. Using a plastic scraper or an old credit scrape the glaze across the paper.

Step 4

After painting and inking the background, stamp the sentiment; cut to the desired size and assemble card.
