Let’s Make a Steampunk Love Card

It’s Spring and love is in the air. Let’s combine the metallic look of Brilliance ink, the shimmer of Delicata Ink, pastel colors, and Steampunk imagery to create a Steampunk Love card.

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Time: 1 hour

Directions:

Step 1:

Use a stamping platform and Starlite Black Brilliance ink to stamp the Steampunk Heart twice – once onto a 6” x 8” piece of Mixed Media paper and a second time onto Repositionable Label paper. Heat set the Mixed Media paper panel.

Smoosh London Fog Memento ink onto craft mat. Spritz it with Sheer Shimmer Sparkle Craft Spray.

Use a paint brush to color the center of the heart.

Step 2:

Fussy-cut the label paper heart and place it atop its counterpart on the image panel.

Step 3:

Use a Sponge Dauber to sponge Summer Sky Memento Ink horizontally across the image panel. Don’t worry about leaving white areas.

Use a Sponge Dauber to sponge Angel Pink Memento Ink onto the white areas of the image panel. You’ve now created a stormy sky!

Step 4:

Use a stamping platform to position the wing stamps facedown on the masked steampunk heart.

Ink with Starlite Black Brilliance Ink and stamp. Repeat if necessary to attain a clean image. Wipe remaining ink off of the stamp. Heat set the image panel.

Step 5:

Use a brayer to apply White Shimmer Delicata Ink to the wing stamps. Stamp.

Step 6:

Smoosh a 1” wide strip of white cardstock onto the Starlite Black Brilliance Pad. Smoosh a second 2” wide strip of white cardstock onto the White Shimmer Delicata Ink Pad.

Heat set both panels.

Step 7:

Apply Tear-It! Tape to the backs of both panels.

Use the “love” Shadow die to cut the White Shimmer Delicata inked cardstock.

Use the “love” die to cut the Starlite Black Brilliance inked cardstock.

Adhere the Starlite Black “love” die-cut to atop the White Shimmer Delicata “love” shadow die. Set aside.

Step 8:

Position the stamped image panel so that it’s horizontal on the stamping platform so that different cogs will be stamped along the edges of the image panel.

Step 9:

Position cog stamps from both Cogs Clear Stamp Set 2 and Cogs Clear Stamp Set 2, facedown on the left and right of what is now the top of the image panel. Ink the stamps with Starlite Black Brilliance Ink, stamp, and heat set. Remove and clean the cog stamps.

Position two different cog stamps from the same set facedown towards the center top edge of the image panel. Ink the stamps with Starlite Black Brilliance Ink, stamp, and heat set. Remove and clean the cog stamps.

Position a large cog stamp facedown in the center of the cogs. Ink the stamp with Starlite Black Brilliance ink, stamp, and set. Remove and clean the cog stamps.

Step 10:

Flip the image panel so that the clean edge is at the top of the platform. Repeat Step 9 to complete a second cog border.

Trim the image panel to 5.5” square and edge with Starlite Black Brilliance Ink. Heat set the entire panel.

Step 11:

Use White Shimmer Delicata Ink to sponge a piece of 5.75” square white cardstock. Heat set.

Step 12:

Cut a piece of 12×12 Avalanche cardstock to 6” x 12”, score, and fold to form a 6” square card.

Place a piece of scrap paper into the card. Use a Sponge Dauber to apply Starlite Brilliance Ink to the outer .25” edges of the card. Heat set.

Step 13:

Use Tear It! Tape to adhere the shimmery white 5.75” square to the card.

Adhere the image panel.

Adhere the sentiment to finish the card.

How to Stencil a Kindness Card

Let’s Make a Beautiful Wedding Card

Greetings! It’s Kathi here to show you how to create a wedding card using trending wedding colors of dusky rose, pink, rose gold, and gold.

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Time: 1.5 hours

Directions:

Step 1:

Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the wedding cake from the Dreams Come True Cling Stamp Set onto a 4” x 5.25” panel of white cardstock and onto repositionable label paper.

Step 2:

Use small scissors to fussy-cut the label paper version and place it atop its counterpart on the image panel as a mask.

Step 3:

Place a ruler horizontally over the base of the image.

With an ink sweeper, sponge Pixie Dust VersaMagic ink over the ruler and the masked image.

Step 4:

Use a pouncy tool or a stiff paint brush to pounce Rose Gold Delicata Ink.

Step 5:

Move the ruler to cover the top of the image and secure with magnets.

Use an ink sweeper to sponge Pink Petunia VersaMagic ink.

Remove the ruler and let it dry. I heat set to expedite the drying process.

Step 6:

Use a piece of scrap paper to cover the top part of the image panel. Place the Mandala stencil over the base and secure with magnets.

Sponge image with Pink Petunia VersaMagic to create a tone on tone pattern.

Repeat process with Sponge Rose Gold Delicata Ink to add a rosy golden shimmer to the stenciled pattern.

Step 7:

Use Copic markers to color the wedding cake. Add shading and fine details with colored pencils. Use chalk pencil to add shading below the wedding cake.

Step 8:

Position one of the plain rectangle dies from the Passe Partout Rectangles Die Set cutting side down on the image panel. Use repositionable Scotch Tape to secure it in place, then die cut the panel.

Step 9:

Cut a piece of white cardstock to 6.5”. Position the scalloped rectangle and the plain rectangle dies from the Passe-Partout Die Set on the panel, secure with repositionable Scotch Tape, and run the panel through the die-cut machine.

Step 10:

Use a sponge dauber to sponge Gold Dazzle Delicata Ink around the edges of the scalloped panel. Heat set.

Step 11:

Use a sponge dauber to sponge Rose Gold Delicata Ink around the edges of the plain panel. Heat set.

Step 12:

Position the stitched rectangle die from the Passe Partout Die Set onto the gold-sponged scalloped rectangle panel, secure it in place with repositionable Scotch Tape, and run the panel through the die-cut machine. The die will cut a rectangle from the center of the gold-sponged scalloped panel, leaving a stitched border framing the aperture.

Step 13:

Use a sponge dauber to add Rose Gold Delicata to the periphery of the die-cut. Heat set.

Step 14:

Use Tear It! Tape to adhere the gold scalloped die-cut onto the rose gold plain rectangle panel.

Use the tape to adhere rose gold die-cut to the aperture of the gold scalloped die-cut then adhere the matted image panel as the top layer.

Step 15:

Cut a piece of white cardstock to 8.75” x 6.125”. Score at 4.375” and fold to form an A6 card.

Place a piece of scrap paper into the center of the card. Use a sponge dauber to apply Pixie Dust VersaMagic ink to the periphery of the white card. Heat set.

Adhere the matted image panel to the front of the card.

Let’s Make a Quick and Easy Love Card

Greetings! Its Kathi here to show you how to create an elegant CAS Love card using two colors of Delicata Shimmer ink, a stencil, and two stamps!

Skill: Beginner

Time: 30 minutes

Step 1:

Cut a piece of Mixed Media paper to 5.75” square. Use an Ink Sweeper to apply Pink Delicata Ink to the entire paper panel. I heat set to expedite drying process but you can let it dry naturally.

Step 2:

Tape the inked paper panel to the back of the Floral Wreath stencil. Use a Sponge Dauber to apply Golden Glitz Delicata Ink over the stencil onto the ink panel.

Remove the stencil and heat set to dry.

Step 3:

Use Golden Glitz Delicata Ink and a stamping platform to stamp the heart and love within the stenciled Floral Wreath on the image panel. Heat set to dry.

Step 4:

Use a Sponge Dauber to roughly edge the image panel with Golden Glitz Delicata Ink. . Heat set to dry.

Step 5:

Cut a piece of 12” x 12” white cardstock in half. Score at 6” to form a 6” square card.

Place a piece of scrap paper inside the card.

Use a Sponge Dauber to apply Golden Glitz Delicata to the periphery of the front.

Heat Set to dry.

Step 6:

Use Tear It! Tape to adhere to the golden sponged 6” square card.

Gold-Embossed Ombre Effect Congrats Card

Hello friends! This is Linh (or LV Handcrafted on all the socials). This is a fun way to create your own heat embossed ombre effect. I used Delicata ink, which is a pigment ink and remains sticky for period of time to swipe across a white cardstock panel. I made a very solid swatch of ink. Before the ink dried, I covered one end (the bottom) with Mboss powder in gold. I aimed for about 25% of the way up with solid coverage. Then I tipped the panel so the letter “C” is at the bottom and the letter “S” is at the top. Then spooned more Mboss powder from one and and further tipped the panel so it runs down the panel to create that graduated, ombre effect.

When I make panels like this, I really want the panel and the effect to shine, so I like to keep the rest of the card really simple. These word dies are wonderful because they are so big, they nearly take up the entire card. And with a panel this beautiful, I save everything and made a second card using the negative effect of the word die.

NOTE: In the video, you will actually see me create a smaller panel that I decided against using. I used a Sakura glue pen to draw a design over the Delicata-inked panel and then poured Mboss powder over it. The glue pen lets you draw or write anything you want and have that lovely embossed effect.

Let’s Make an Inspirational Quote Wall Hanging

Greetings! It’s Kathi here today to share with you a tutorial about how to create an inspirational wall hanging using a favorite quote and your craft supplies. I used Golden Glitz Delicata, Nocturne, VersaFine Clair, and VersaMagic Chalk inks.

Skill: Intermediate

Time: 2 hours

Directions:

Step 1:

Use a Stitched Slimline Die and a Big Tags cutting dies to cut black cardstock for the panels.

Step 2:

Position the moon and sun from the Alchemy Mixed Media Stencil on the top of the large rectangular die-cut. Use removable Scotch Tape to secure the stencil to the back of stencil. Cover the openings around the sun and moon with Post-It Notes. Use a Sponge Dauber to apply Golden Glitz Delicata Ink over the stencil onto the die-cut. Heat set.

Step 3:

Use a magnet to secure the image panel horizontally along the base of a stamping platform. Position the clock from the ATC Coins Clear Stamp Set 6 facedown on the the panel, so that 12:00 is centered and facing the top of the panel.

Step 4:

Ink the clock with Golden Glitz Delicata ink and stamp the clock along the bottom of the tag. Heat set to bring out the lustre.

Step 5:

Position the compass from the Small Elements Stamp Set 2 facedown inside the circular opening of the clock with the “N” of North at 12:00.

Step 6:

Use Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink to stamp the small compass into the center of the clock image. Cover the stamped image with Clear MBoss Clear and melt the powder with a heat tool.

Step 7:

Use Turquoise Gem VersaMagic ink to stamp the swirls and stars from the Harvest Moon Clear Stamp Set and the stars from the Mini Stars Clear Stamp Set around the perimeter of the die-cut. Repeat using Sea Breeze VersaMagic ink. Heat set.

Step 8:

Edge the panel with Golden Glitz Delicata ink. I slide each edge of the piece along the side of the ink pad to create a strong golden edge. Heat set.

Step 9:

Use repositionable adhesive to secure the black tag die-cut to a piece of scrap paper, then use magnets to secure them to the base of the stamping platform.

Position the Celestial Navigation Clear Stamp 398 and stamp with Nocturne VersaFine Clair.

Step 10:

Cover the stamped image with MBoss. Melt the powder with the heat tool. (MBoss image application not shown)

Step 11:

Use Golden Glitz Delicata Ink to edge the tag.

Step 12:

Using an Ink Sweeper, apply Sea Breeze VersaMagic to a piece of mixed media paper.

Step 13:

Use a Sponge Dauber to apply Turquoise Gem VersaMagic around the edges of the paper, then blend using the Ink Sweeper and Sea Breeze VersaMagic. Heat set.

Step 14:

Secure the inked panel to the base of the stamping platform. Position the Ink and the Dog Mini Cling Stamp 109 stamp and stamp with with Nocturne VersaFine Clair. Heat set.
