Elegant Card for a Wedding or Engagement

By Ceal Pritchett

Hello crafty friends!
It’s Ceal, here. Today I am sharing how to create a simple but elegant wedding card.

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Time: 45 Minutes

Directions:

Gather your supplies. You will need a stamp set with a floral image and wedding sentiments. An A2 sized die and some wedding themed dies, a stamp positioner and a shimmer ink pad.

Step 1:
Using a Misti or stamp positioner and a grip mat place the cardstock panel in the center. Place the floral stamp on the corner of the panel and ink with shimmer ink (I used Delicata Silvery Shimmer) stamp, you may have to stamp more than once to get a clean image. Turn your paper, no need to move the stamp thanks to the Misti and ink it up and stamp again on the other corner. This ink is a pigment ink therefore it takes a little longer to dry, you can speed that up by heat setting it.

Step 2:
Cut the panel with the die keeping both pieces. Also cut out the wedding themed dies.

Step 3:
Place the card base in the corner of the Misti and then glue the borer of your die cut pieces down first. I always place it in the corner of the Misti, this helps me line it up.

Step 4:
Add the main die cut piece using foam tape to give it dimension.
Tip: after adding the foam adhesive to the panel also add some liquid glue, this allows you to move the panel to get it in place.

Stamp the greeting on a strip of paper and cut it out. Add all of the elements to the card.

Make a Wedding or Anniversary Card

By Monica Edwards

Welcome back to Imagine’s blog.  Today, I am going to show everyone how you can get more out of your embossing folders by adding some ink!

Skill Level: Beginner
Time: Approximately 30 minutes

Directions:

Step 1
Create your card base by taking a piece of white cardstock measuring 10” x 7” and score it down the middle at 5”.

Step 2
To create the colored embossed background, you will need the folder you chose.  I am using the  Leafy folder with VersaMagic Dew Drop in “Hint of Pesto” and “Tea Leaves”.

Step  3
Simply take the ink and wipe and/or dab it all over the folder.

Step 4
Once you are done run it through your diecut machine so the ink is pressed onto the paper.  The beauty of this is that you can additional colors and simply add more color if you want a darker look.

Step 5
You will mat your background onto a piece of cardstock.  I chose Putty to go along with the greenery.  I am showing the mat before the color for  better visibility.

Step 6
Use a Wood Flourish Frame

Step 7
Using your Dew Drop like a dauber simply sponge on some color this will bring out the green background.

Step 8
Add a diecut for the focal point, along with a sentiment to complete the card.

How To Make Simple but Impactful Wedding/Anniversary Cards

2022-LeeAnn-April-IG

By LeeAnn McKinney

– Hi there friends and fellow crafters, Today I am here making 2 Impactful but clean and simple cards using Tear It! Tape, On Point Glue, VersaFine CLAIR in Nocturne, MBoss in Clear and Memento Luxe in Wedding Dress.

The first thing I had done to prepare for my video was to create 2 A2 panels 4.25” x 5.5”. I then used my Mini Misti stamped 1 panel with the sentiment from the Gina K Designs Delightful Daisies stamp set using VersaFine CLAIR in Nocturne. This is a Vegetable Oil based ink and takes a little time to dry so put it aside and move to my second panel.

The second panel, I put in the Altenew Daisy Bed 3D embossing folder and ran it though my Vagabond 2 machine with only 1 cutting plate and the platform, this worked perfectly and gave a great embossing effect.

I then went back to the first panel and ran it through the embossing folder as well, following that I poured a bit of clear MBoss on the sentiment and heat set it. This gave a seal and a shiny effect to the sentiment and allowed me to move on to the next step, which was using the Memento Luxe Mixed Media Pad in Wedding Dress to add a bit of shine and White color to the Raised edges of the panel. I added this purple panel to the card base, a few Jewels and this card was complete, Moving back to the Mint card, I used On Point glue to adhere the Happy Anniversary Sentiment and Shadow to the front panel, the Cantaloupe Memento Marker to the center of the Daisies and a Jewel for the tittle in the sentiment. Added this to the card base using Tear It Tape and this card was also complete.
