See How to Make a Snowflake Shaker Ornament with Mboss

by Martha Lucia Gomez

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here! Today, I am sharing a snowflake shaker ornament that you can use to decorate your gifts and/or Christmas tree. To create this, I am using a shaker dimension set with a snowflake design, VersaMark Clear Ink and Mboss Blue Icicle. Like this set came with a piece of acetate sheet to cover the free areas, I made it like a shaker piece adding some sprinkles.

Skill: Advanced
Time: 30 minutes

Step 1

Ink one of the sides of your or the ornament directly with the VersaMark Inkpad. Cover it with your selection of Mboss color. I used the Blue Icicle.

Step 2

Melt the powder with the heat tool. And repeat the process twice or three times to give more dimension to your ornament.

Step 3

Cut a piece of card stock with the same shape or your ornament and apply over it some touches of Frost Sheer Shimmer Stix. Let the paper dry naturally.

Step 4

Paste the base shape or double-sided foam tape onto the inked shape. Add your fillers, it could be sequins, sprinkles, beads or whatever you want. Adhere the clear acetate on top with liquid glue and cover it with the embossed design. Finalize your ornament adding a tie or pasting it to your gift. You can try different designs and different colors of Mboss to add your personal touch! Thank you for stopping by and see you soon!

Create a Simple and Cute “I Ruff Christmas” Card

by Mischelle Smith

The challenge at Imagine this month is Winter Window. Of course, visions of snowmen were dancing in my head until I thought of this darling little puppy that is. I went for a non-traditional holiday card and used the speech bubble to create my own window. The cutest part of this card is the little puppy inside waiting to be discovered!

Sketch a speech bubble on card front and cut out. With VersaMarker outline edge of speech bubble and emboss with black emboss powder. Stamp snowflakes on card with VersaMark ink. Emboss with black powder. Create a bow out of black sheer ribbon. Add silver metallic thread to it and attach to card front.

Learn to Make a Beautiful Winter Wonderland Card

by Kyriakos Pachadiroglou

Create the feeling of a snow globe on a Christmas greeting card with a shaker bubble front and a lot of snow. This Christmas card has less color in the background in order to enhance the centerpiece. The snow both in the bubble front and on the top of the card is created with the Amplify White, a must have craft supply for Christmas and winter!

Skill: Intermediate
Time: 1 hour

Steps 1

Blend the Brilliance and VersaColor blues on the watercolor paper and cut a circle in diameter slightly larger than then bubble front.

Step 2

Die cut the village shape from the watercolor paper and make light shades using the VersaColor Pinecone and a Brushstix.

Step 3

Die cut 3 more village shapes and glue on top of each other to make a thick one. This will add dimension (depth) on the design and act as an obstacle to the beads inside the bubble.

Step 4

Glue the village die cutting on the watercolor paper and cover the bottom of it with Amplify White and heat to activate it and make it fluffy.

Step 5

Make tiny dots of snow above the village using the irRESISTible Pico Embellisher Wedding Dress color.

Step 6

Add rhinestones with the help of On Point Glue.

Step 7

Cut from a 4 x 6 piece of the corrugated paper, a round center, large enough to for the bubble front. Distress with Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue, VersaColor Pinecone and spray with Sheer Shimmer Sparkle and Silver.

Step 8

Remove the excess of the shaker bubble front and add Tear It Tape, all around it.

Step 9

Glue the watercolor paper circle on the card, add beads in the center before covering with the bubble front. Continue by placing the corrugated paper and the twine.

Step 10

Use Amplify! White on top of the corrugated paper piece to make snow effect.

Step 11

Add the rest of the embellishments using On Point Glue and your hot glue gun (for ribbon elements).
