Project Swap: See How to Make Jewelry

Project Swap: See How to Make Jewelry with StazOn

Welcome back for another Artist Project Swap with Jennifer and Kyriakos. For the Month of May, we challenged our artists to exchange tutorials and create each other’s designs in order to see how each of our artists interprets style and choices. The receiving artist did not know who designed the project, nor did they receive any images! In today’s post, Kyriakos writes the directions and recommended supplies list and Jennifer created the project.

Not-So-Heavy Metals by Jennifer Vanderbeek

This month, we Artists swapped projects and I got to make this awesome necklace and earring set with SHEET Metal ovals and StazOn ink from directions by Kyriakos. This necklace and earrings set were so fun and easy to make and I’m sure it’ll be just as fun to wear.

Learn How to Craft a Centerpiece with Painted Rocks

by Kyriakos Pachadiroglou

During a walk by the beach, I couldn’t resist of taking stones with me, thinking that they can be a part of a centerpiece for the table on my terrace. Keeping them simple, I decorated these rocks with All-Purpose Ink, Fireworks New Sprout, and VersaFine Clair. The rocks can be placed in a large tray or even large candle lanterns with candles being decorative both day and night.

Skill: Beginner
Time: 30 minutes

Directions

Step 1

Paint the pebbles with the All-Purpose Ink in Green Apple.

Step 2

While the paint is still wet, spray with the Fireworks Shimmery Craft Spray in New Sprout. Let the pebbles dry well or speed up the process with a heat tool.

Step 3

Stamp designs with the VersaFine Clair in Rain Forest.

Step 4

Add details with the irRESISTible Pico Embellisher in Gold.

Create a Fun and Fabulous Summertime Flamingo Card

by Kyriakos Pachadiroglou

Create a Fun and Fabulous Summertime Flamingo Card with VersaMagic inkpads

It is almost Summer! It is time to start looking ahead for calming moments in warm weather, summer colors and holiday memories. In today’s cardmaking project, evoke the spirit of summer with this flamingo theme “chill” card. Keeping the whiteness of the paper as the basic background color, I emphasize the pastel colors and give a bright outcome on the card. The VersaMagic inkpads allow the metallic wire and beads to show even more by giving a chalk effect on all surfaces.

Skill: Beginner
Time: 1 hour

Directions

VersaMagic DewDrop in Thatched Straw and Key Lime
Step 1

Emboss a 4 x 6-inch piece of white cardstock with the stripes embossing folder and lightly color with the VersaMagic DewDrop in Thatched Straw and Key Lime.

Step 2

Use a BrushStix to mix and color the flamingo plywood shape with the VersaMagic DewDrop in Red Magic and Thatched Straw.

Step 3

Continue by coloring the paper flowers with VersaMagic in Red Magic and Thatched Straw.

VersaMagic DewDrop Key Lime and the Fabrico Marker. Use a stylus to shape the leaves into a more realistic look.
Step 4

Die cut leaves from white and kraft cardstocks and decorate them with the VersaMagic DewDrop Key Lime and the Fabrico Marker. Use a stylus to shape the leaves into a more realistic look.

Color the "chill" wooden element with VersaMagic Red Magic.
Step 5

Color the “chill” wooden element with VersaMagic Red Magic.

Step 6

Make circles with the jewelry wire and glue them in the 4 x 6-inch card with a glue gun.

Step 7

Continue with the rest of the embellishments and using either the glue gun or Tear It Tape. Lightly ink the edge of the card panel with VersaMagic in Red Magic to match the flowers. Mount the 4 x 6-inch piece on the front of a 5 x 7 card base.

by Kyriakos Pachadiroglou

See How to Create a Relaxing Sunset with VersaFine Clair

Do you know someone who is overdue for a vacation? Perhaps they are not sure whether they deserve a break? Today’s project is a perfect encouragement card for such a person. This card brings a desire for summer vacations and relaxation that makes you want to be inside the scene with the warm colors and the sense of calmness it gives. It allows you to dream of the place of a tropical island or somewhere in Africa. The deep colors of VersaFine Clair ink pads make them ideal for vibrant shades on paper and Imagine’s Sheet Metal pieces. See how I made this card.
