Create a Rainbow Blended Disney Theme Keepsake with VersaFine Clair

Hi everyone! It’s Jessica and I’m so excited to share this Disney-inspired Twist and Pop 3D Card with you. As you can see, there are 4 panels dedicated to The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Up and Cinderella. And I’ve used 14 VersaFine Clair ink pads to ink blend all of the backgrounds. I’ve used several sets of Mama Elephant stamps as well; the images are stamped with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. I hope you enjoy this magical creation as much as I do!

Hello friends! Today, I would like to share with you a quick and easy way to create an inspiring card with clear Vertigo Sheets and VersaFine Clair.

Directions


Step 1

If you are not familiar with Vertigo Sheets it is a plastic product from Imagine that adds unique depth to cards and mixed media projects. It comes in different designs and you can create visual effects with these depending on the design and colors of ink that you use. You can also stamp over the sheets, die cut and emboss it.


Step 2

To make my card, I used a strip of Vertigo Taffeta design, that is the most simple design and VersaFine Clair ink in three different colors: Verdant, Shady Lane and Green Oasis. I applied the ink over the Vertigo Piece using a sponge or dauber and let the ink dry naturally.

I stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne the images that I wanted over the strip and also let the strip dry well before pasting it over my card base. I used Tear It Tape to paste the decorated layer over my card and finalized it by stamping a sentiment from the Boss Babe stamp set of Joy Clair with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink. The photos don’t do justice to this card because of the Vertigo’s refracting. In person it is really clear and lovely!

Hi everyone! Father’s Day is right around the corner and I’m here to share a simple, masculine card idea with you. It features a forest and lake scene that has a watercolor look, but it’s done completely through stamping! I’ve also shown how you can stretch your ink pads by using second generation stamping. It’s an easy technique that allows you to create different shades of the same color even if you’re just using one colored ink.

Learn An Elegant Embossing Resist And Blending Technique

Hello crafty friends! Today, I want to share a “Hello” greeting card using the technique of color blending and emboss resist. I have always enjoyed mixing different techniques together and emboss resist is one of the most versatile. What I show in this card making tutorial is with this option you can create a rich color background before embossing and then apply extra layers of color to enhance the effect. See how I created this elegant card below.

Step 1

To make this card, I used three different green colors of Memento Ink. I started with the lightest New Sprout, continue with Bamboo Leaves and finalized with Cottage Ivy.


Step 2

Over a whisper white piece of card stock, I applied the ink directly with the ink pad, just rub it softly and blend the colors. When I was totally satisfied with the colors, I let the paper dry very well before to continue with the next step. I used my heat tool to speed up the process.


Step 3

I stamped a background stamp over the inked layer using the embossing buddy or anti-static pad, VersaMark Ink and Clear Embossing Powder.


Step 4

After heat embossing and using an InkBlusher, I applied Delicata Pigment Ink in White Shimmer directly over the heat embossed background. At this stage, you will notice how the embossed butterflies fine lines did not absorb the pigment ink and the background color looks softer.


Step 5

To finalize the card, I resized the layer, pasted it over the mat and card base and stamped one sentiment using VersaFine Clair Green Oasis and embossed it with clear embossing powder.


Step 6

You can use this technique using a single color of ink for the background or mixing different colors. The most important is that you use white pigment ink to make the color tones soft and enhance the embossing.

Learn How To Arrange A Scrapbook Page With The Imagine Craft Mat

Scrapbooking is my favorite way to unwind. I love patterned papers, simple layouts, and combining ready-made embellishments with decoration elements I’ve made myself. For this scrapbook layout, you only need two sheets of patterned paper, scrap pieces of solid color papers, a few stamps, and your favorite inks, letter stickers, leftover pieces of chipboards and a mix of any ready-made embellishments you have available at arm’s reach. The center of your layout is your favorite photo, a memory you want to cherish and keep for the years to come!

Directions


Step 1

Attach a strip of washi tape or a strip of patterned paper on the left side of your background paper. The grid side of Imagine’s Craft Mat will help you in aligning the long strip. 
Glue a panel of patterned paper on the left side of the strip, partly covering it.


Step 2

Stamp patterns on the background around the area where you want to place your photo. Use the lightest color for the largest patterns and add smaller highlights with darker colors on top.
 On this layout, I continued the triangle pattern on the stamped areas; I often get inspired by the patterns on the paper I decide to use and like to replicate similar images elsewhere on the project. You may spot the triangle shape also in larger sizes on this layout; I had a couple of triangle-shaped transparencies I included on the page.


Step 3

Stamp and fussy-cut embellishments. Combine your DIY decorations with ready-made stickers, die-cuts, and chipboards. Feel free to mix and match embellishments of various types and styles!
 Layer embellishments and use them in clusters. Don’t try to cover the entire page but leave some areas undecorated.


Step 4

Highlight your photo: Mat the photo on a piece of white cardstock. Layer pieces of solid color or patterned papers underneath it or use ready-made chipboard frames for lifting the photo from the layout background.
 On this layout, the background color was quite light, and for making the photo really pop I backed the chipboard frames with a darker grey color paper. For attaching the photo on the layout, I used foam stickers.


Step 5

Adding a hint of white and/or black will brighten all the other colors. I added black by stamping small black arrows on the background and white by highlighting the stamped embellishments and parts of the stamped background patterns with a white gel pen.


Step 6

Sometimes it may be tricky to align the letter stickers on the layout. A long ruler and the grid pattern on the Craft Mat will be of great help!
 If you want the title word to end close to your main photo, start writing it from the end. This way you will manage the positioning of the complete word more easily!

See How to Create Stunning Card Design on Black Paper

For today’s card, I used the new StazOn Pigment inks to create this stenciled floral background. I love the way StazOn Pigment Ink looks on dark/black card stock. This is a very easy and simple card to make because the ink is so vibrant. I used my old daubers to add the pigment on my black card stock if you do not have old dauber then consider using an InkBlusher. To make an impact on this design, I first added white ink and then the colored ink on top. This gives me a brighter vibrant impression and I like it a lot. I used a sentiment “sending hugs” stamped in black and added few details to the inside of the flowers with my white gel pen to finish the card.
