Create Soft and Simple Backgrounds for Your Cards with Fireworks Shimmer Spray

Today I share a very simple technique using the soft Fireworks Shimmer Spray colors to create a gorgeous simple background. Using the softest of colors allows an image that’s colored on white to really pop. The additional shimmer really makes this simple card shine! I paired this technique with the adorable Waffle Flower Stamp set called Always for a gorgeous soft creation.

Add Watercoloring to Your Cards with Memento Inks

Handmade card featuring Waffle Flowers Let Love Grow stamps and Tsukneko's Memento inks.

The super adorable Waffle Flower stamps are perfect for coloring in with Memento ink! I love that I can create a simple, fun card with minimal supplies and have something adorable to give away. I used a little bit of Memento in Grape Jelly in both of my images and then found a matching piece of amethyst glitter cardstock to pull the whole thing together!

Learn How to Add just a Pop of Color to an Elegant Card

Adding just a pop of color added to a black and white project can be very dramatic. When you use Rinea Foil Paper as that pop of color, it not only adds drama, it adds a level of elegance as well.  Black cardstock, Snowflake StazOn Pigment ink and Rinea Foiled paper are the perfect combination for drama and elegance!

Time: 45 minutes

Directions

Step 1

Accordion fold a color piece of Rinea foil paper – I chose this bright pink color.

Step 2

Emboss that piece of foil paper using an embossing folder.

Step 3

Die cut gold foil paper medallions using 3D Impresslits Embossing Folder.

Step 4

Stamp floral images and saying onto black card front with StazOn Pigment in Snowflake.

Step 5

Stamp floral images onto smaller strip of black cardstock.

Step 6

Layer strip of stamped cardstock over piece of embossed foil paper and adhere to card front; adhere foil medallion.

Step 7

Background options 2; randomly stamp floral images onto black card front.

Step 8

Stamp floral images onto smaller strip of black cardstock

Step 9

Mount a square piece embossed foil paper to black foil paper; adhere to card.  Adhere stamped strip of cardstock and foil medallion over the squares.

Adorable handmade birthday card featuring a piglet image with rainbows balloons and silver lined clouds.

Today we are sharing how to create a fun birthday card with a cute piglet image using Memento inks and Fireworks Shimmery Craft Sprays. Did you know you don’t have to have a rainbow of expensive markers or watercolors to create a gorgeous colored scene? Using common craft supplies, I color this entire card without the help of a marker. I do use some beautiful silver Rinea paper along with my favorite Imagine and Tsukineko products to make this adorable birthday card that has a lot of dimension and shine!
